In Celebration of Hari Ekonomi Kreatif, INFIA Brings Its IP Playbook to WCCE 2026
Jakarta hosted the 5th World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) this October, and INFIA Corp was part of the conversation. On 23 October 2026, a day before Indonesia marked Hari Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional, M. Noviar Rahman, Co-Founder and Group Chief Investment Officer of INFIA Corp, joined the panel "Own the Story, Shape the Market" at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta. He shared the stage with Sunny Gho of JICAF and Zainol Haqim of Malaysia Creative Ventures, with Ricky Pesik as moderator.

The panel took on a question many creative companies in the region share: what does it take for a homegrown story to hold its own in a global market? Noviar answered from INFIA's own portfolio rather than from theory.
Stories before products
His presentation put INFIA's work on screen, from :Dagelan and infipop to JSD, VOLIX and VBIZ, to show that each one started with an audience long before it became a product. One line on his slides captured the approach: "Selling products, building things." A product is sold once, while a story people care about keeps opening new doors, from merchandise to places and partnerships.
Collaboration with a shared purpose

For an IP to grow beyond its first medium, the right partners matter as much as the characters. Noviar pointed to Tahilalats, whose brand collaborations show how a character can move into new categories when both sides care about the same audience.
Discipline to go global
Ambition alone does not carry a story overseas. The presentation closed with INFIA's intent to "use our full force to compete in a global space," supported by a system that keeps every story consistent as it scales.
What comes next
Noviar also used the session to share a few of INFIA's upcoming projects. Among them is "Not A Metaphor" by Mindblowon Studio Animation, one of the next stories INFIA is preparing to bring to a wider audience.
"The engine is the business. The characters are the fuel." M Noviar, Group Chief Investment Officer INFIA Corp
Celebrating Hari Ekonomi Kreatif
For INFIA, joining WCCE in the same week as Hari Ekonomi Kreatif Nasional was a fitting way to celebrate Indonesia's creative economy, by placing local IP in the same conversation as the rest of the world. Stories made in Indonesia can travel anywhere when they are built to last.
